Radon testing is an easy process that takes 48 hours for final results. We place a testing device in the lowest habitable level of the property and return 2 days later to collect the device. Results are delivered that same pickup day. The device takes air samples for the duration of the test and then your EPA average is calculated. We also perform post mitigation confirmation testing for radon.
- Test must run for 48 hours onsite
- Results same day test is picked up
- NRPP certified with RMP on staff
- Inclement weather requires retest
- One device is valid for 2,000 sq ft
- You can stay home during the test
- EPA action level is 4.0 pCi/L

All homes in Maryland could have high radon levels. The real question is the average exposure level over an extended period of time. If you have a property in ZONE 1, you have a higher risk level. In MD the majority of homes are within ZONE 1 or ZONE 2 which is why radon testing is highly recommended and even legally required in some counties.
If your property has high radon (over 4.0 pCi/L) then active mitigation is recommended. We have mitigation referrals, just ask.
